Fintech Horizons is proud to feature Rogelio Rea, CEO of Atrato, a Fintech startup based in Mexico that is extending credit to those traditionally not served by banks.
Today I wanted to highlight the work of #Atrato CEO Rogelio Rea, who is featured in an avatar (from Alejandro Kim Bustamante) included with this post. Atrato is a #Fintech #startup based in Mexico City that was founded last year. Its first product, Atrato Pago, is already available at select merchants.
Its offering allows those merchants to provide installment loans as a payment option and the offering is already helping those merchants get more sales and significantly increase their conversion rates.

Installment payment options are needed in Mexico, as 90% of the population does not have a credit card and 60% do not have a bank account. To use Atrato Pago, customers don’t need either and they can apply at the point of sale and receive an immediate response on their phone.
The company is cash-flow positive and working with its merchants and their customers to reduce the financial impact from COVID-19. Even more so today, it sees an immense opportunity to create fairer, simpler and faster financial services in Mexico and through Latin America.
It is great to see all of the Fintech innovation taking place in Mexico! To read my interview with Rogelio, click on the link below, thanks!
